5 arrested as Tagum drug den dismantled

DAVAO CITY — Government operatives dismantled a drug den and arrested five persons in a buy-bust operation in Tagum City, Davao del Norte on Thursday.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 11 director Antonio Rivera said the five suspects were arrested in a drug den that was dismantled by a team of police and PDEA agents at around 9 p.m. on May 21 Esmeralda Subdivision, Barangay Apokon, Tagum City.
Rivera identified the arrested individuals as alleged drug den maintainer Lee Ligaya, Jose Arch Arriba, Charlito Pagara, Robinson Tabat, and Fleance Irog-irog.
He said the suspects yielded some 13 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with an estimated street value of P195,000, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the money used in the buy-bust operation.
The suspects are now detained while illegal drug charges are set to be filed against them.
