DAVAO CITY – The Al-Ag Group and Chevron Philippines opened the country’s first-ever Caltex Havoline AutoPro Workshop program which aims to allow car shop owners to gain expertise and resources to grow and protect their business.
Vice Mayor Bernard Al-ag, who is the president of the Al-ag Group which operates Car X Shop in Obrero, said the wait was over for a world-class shop when the program was introduced to him.
“It was love at first sight. It was our vision to have a world-class auto shop when Chevron introduced the autopro. I was immediately attracted,” Al-ag said during the launch of the program on Saturday.
Al-ag said Car X Shop is committed to providing its customers world-class training and products more than that will benefit motorists in Davao City.
“Caltex Havoline will help us deliver that commitment,” he said.
Al-ag said Car-X Shop was created to provide Davao car owners, companies, and drivers the highest level of auto services possible using the best products available.
“Choosing to partner with Caltex Havoline is a strategic decision and we are looking forward to working with Caltex as Car-X Shop assures company fleets and car owners service and products worth their money,” he said.
Chevron, which operates the Caltex brand in the Philippines, unveiled the program tailored for quick-lube automotive business owners. The workshops are qualified by the scale of Caltex products and those receiving the full Caltex Havoline autoPro branding and program offering.
“We are excited to bring more value to our trade partners and consumers through the Caltex Havoline autoPro workshop program. Our fuels and lubricants have been proven throughout the years as products that meet and exceed consumers’ expectations,” Philippines Area Business Manager-Finished Lubricants Hafiz Nasar said.
Nasar said Chevron is committed to strengthening and expanding partnership with an offer of a world-class facility.
The Car X shop is the first autoPro site in the Philippines.
Strong Macabulos, the Regional DIFM Manager, Finished Lubricants for Asia-Pakistan, said Chevron has considered Car X Shop a good partner for its commitment to quality service and quality products.
He said the autoPro program is freshly developed which Chevron spent months to put in a very comprehensive program. It will be rolled out in other key cities in the country and the Asia Pacific region.
Macabulos said Chevron selected Davao as pilot site because it is the company’s focused market and would not let the opportunity pass and keep the partnership going.
AutoPro program is providing the right tool and the right resources to deliver superior service to the customers, not just a mechanic interacting with the car but also a mechanic interacting with the owner of the car like a doctor.
