Bong Go continues to give emergency aid to flashflood victims in Lucena City, Quezon

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go continued to bring emergency assistance to Lucena City residents who were affected by a flashflood incident after Iyam and Dumacaa Rivers overflowed caused by heavy rains in Quezon province.
On October 15, 1,000 beneficiaries were given aid carried out by the Senator’s team in strict compliance with health protocols. Follow up distribution activities were done on October 16, where an additional 1,000 flashflood victims were given assistance. All beneficiaries received meals, food packs, masks, and face shields.
The Senator earlier distributed assistance to 150 flashflood victims on October 13.
The Senator also gave away bicycles to selected recipients. These bicycles can help the beneficiaries on their commute to work given limited public transportation due to community quarantine restrictions.
Go also gave away tablets to select recipients for their children to use while adapting to blended learning implemented in schools.
Personnel from the Department of Social Welfare and Development were also present during the distribution and provided financial assistance and food packs to flashflood victims.
The Senator also encouraged Lucena City residents to visit the nearest Malasakit Center located in Quezon Medical Center for their medical and financial assistance.
Handa kayong tulungan sa inyong mga hospital bill,” he said.
