Senator Christopher “Bong” Go extended assistance to affected individuals from Tarragona, Davao Oriental on Tuesday, April 6. The beneficiaries were left homeless after fires hit their houses during three separate incidents occurring on April 13, June 18, and August 1 of last year.
During the distribution activity held at the Tarragona Municipal Hall, Go’s personnel provided meals, masks, face shields, and vitamins to the beneficiaries. The activity was conducted in batches while strictly complying with the necessary health protocols.
Go told the victims in a video call.
The Senator also offered to help beneficiaries with their medical concerns. He reminded beneficiaries that they may avail of government medical assistance from the nearest Malasakit Center located at Davao Oriental Provincial Medical Center in Mati City.
Meanwhile, representatives from the National Housing Authority provided housing assistance to the beneficiaries under its Emergency Housing Assistance Program.
Go also thanked and commended the local officials of Tarragona, led by Mayor Nestor Uy, for taking good care of their constituents during the pandemic.
He, then, went on to encourage beneficiaries to stay strong as the country continues to face the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
