The Office of Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, provided aid to the airport administrative frontline workers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 on Tuesday, September 29.

Under strict health protocols, Go’s team distributed food packs, masks, face shields and meals to 828 contractual employees of the airport. This is the third time Go has provided assistance to frontline workers at the country’s main airport.

“May pinadala akong mga food packs at grocery. May ipinadala din akong mask at face shield,” Go said through a video call.

The Senator also provided some tablets and bicycles to selected beneficiaries.

So, gamitin nila ‘yan sa edukasyon nila,” he added.

The Senator further advised that the health protocols imposed must be followed in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) that has been the cause of the country’s health crisis.

Go also added that once the vaccine for the disease is approved and made available, the government will make sure that the poor and the vulnerable will be prioritized.

Meanwhile, the DSWD also provided their financial assistance and food packs to the airport workers.

Go also told the airport workers to utilize the Malasakit Centers for their healthcare needs. The Senator explained that the Malasakit Center is a one-stop shop where four government agencies, namely DSWD, Department of Health, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, and PhilHealth, are under one roof.

The Senator also offered to help those who need operations, such as heart surgeries.
