Christmas in Davao gets brighter with Abreeza’s Festival of Lights

Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati has become a must-visit among Metro Manila dwellers every Christmas season for its annual Festival of Lights. Now, this well-loved light show brings its dazzling lights and colors to Davao City for the very first time, making Christmas even brighter for Davaoeños.

Ayala Malls Abreeza launched the Festival of Lights at its third floor Roof Garden on November 20, kicking off a nightly spectacle set to cheerful Yuletide medleys that will run until January 6, 2020. Shoppers can now gather at the Roof Garden and marvel at six-minute light shows that play every 30 minutes beginning 6 p.m. until the mall closes.

Spectators of various musical tastes will be delighted to witness lights dancing and changing according to each show’s musical theme, with arrangements ranging from upbeat English techno, soothing jazz, to cheery Filipino sounds.

Gathering to unveil the Festival of Lights were Ayala Malls Abreeza general manager Janice Parreño, marketing manager Ruby Ochoa, Abreeza Central Estate association manager Luigi Escano, City Tourism Office head Generose Tecson, Davao Tourism Association (DATA) executive vice president Susabel Reta, the media, and mall-goers.

The Festival of Lights signature event is all set to awaken a dazzling Christmas among different communities throughout the country, with other shows simultaneously running at Ayala Triangle Gardens, Ayala Malls Centrio in Cagayan de Oro City, Ayala Center Cebu, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, and Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City.
