As Davao City is set to wrap up the inoculation of medical workers and other frontline workers, the 120,000 senior citizens or the Priority Group A2 are the next in the anti-Covid vaccination this month.
“We are now vaccinating the last batches of Priority Group A1 or our healthcare and other frontline workers,” Dr. Ashley Lopez, Focal Person of the City’s Covid-19 Task Force said.
On Tuesday, the city government will give the second dose of Coronavac’s Sinovac vaccines to Davao City healthcare workers at Magallanes Elementary School.
Lopez said that the city government is also finalizing the guidelines for the vaccination of the seniors vaccination given their delicate condition.
Dr. Josephine Villafuerte, the Head of the City’s Vaccination Cluster, said that the seniors’ inoculation will be done by district, unlike Group A that has designated vaccination hubs.
“They will receive their doses in the hospitals and the District Health Office where they belong,” she said.
