Davao City floods displace at least 545 families

More than 500 families were displaced by flashfloods that hit seven barangays in Davao City on Wednesday night caused by a localized thunderstorm.
Initial data from the Davao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DCRRMO) as of 6:40 a.m. on Thursday show that the following barangays were hit by the floods: Los Amigos, Tugbok (particularly Tugbok National High School), Catalunan Pequeño (Keith Williams area), Talomo, Sto. Niño, Matina Crossing, and Mintal.
The DCDRRMO data showed an estimated total of 545 families (a total of 1,926 individuals) were affected and have been evacuated to various centers.
There were no reported deaths, injuries, or missing persons.
The DCRRMO said there are no available data yet on damaged properties.
The DCDRRMO is set to meet at 9 a.m. today (Thursday) and will hold a press conference afterward.
