Davao City secures silver medal finish in team tennis

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, PALAWAN -- Davaoeños Christian Nathaniel Angus and John Roddick Litang emerged victorious over their respective singles opponents to secure a silver medal finish in the Tennis Boys Team Competition of the 2019 Batang Pinoy National Championships at the Asia B Sports Club here Wednesday morning.
Angus crushed Exequiel Mari Jucutan of Pangasinan Province, 8-2, while Litang defeated Kirk Dion Agustin, also of Pangasinan Province, to secure the silver medal in the competition.
The gold medal in the competition was snatched by Pangasinan Province, while General Santos City and Ilocos Norte shared a bronze medal finish.
As of press time, Davao City has a gold-silver-bronze medal tally of 11-5-12 and stands at fifth place overall with Cebu City, Pasig City, Quezon City, and Baguio City, respectively, taking the first four spots.
