DAVAO CITY -- Reports say President Rodrigo Duterte is fine after experiencing pains in his hip after figuring in a motorcycle accident in the Presidential Security Group (PSG) compound in Malacañang Park in Manila, Wednesday night.
Senator Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go was quoted by CNN Philippines as saying, “Sumemplang sa motor si PRRD kagabi habang nagmomotor.”
According to ABS-CBN News and DZMM, President Duterte spent Thursday morning resting at the Bahay ng Pagbabago in Malacañang and is doing well as of press time.
The accident reportedly took place following the opening of a coal power plant in Taguig City.
President Duterte has always been known as a motorcycle enthusiast, regularly riding with the popular On Any Sunday Riders club here.
He has also been seen riding his bike around Davao even during his presidency. Daniel Joaquin
