Global insurance firm expands in Mindanao

DAVAO CITY -- Allianz Philippines, a Munich-based global insurance company, kicked off its expansion in Mindanao with the opening of its office in Davao City yesterday.
“Our expansion in Davao bring our quality products and services closer to the Davaoeños,” Allianz Brand Communications and Digital Director Rei Abrazaldo said yesterday.
Allianz Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Olaf Kliescow said in a statement that the company is always looking for ways to better serve the needs of Filipinos.
Abrazaldo said Allianz Philippines opened its Cagayan de Oro office last March 29.Another office agency is set to open in Butuan City on April 8.
While Allianz is popularly known as an insurance company, it offers various products including health and investment products. The latest offering from the company is Allianz Well! and Allianz Compass, both are international health plans that offer the highest plan limits in the Philippines.
“With the opening of our new offices in Mindanao and other initiatives, we are working on sustaining the significant gains we made last year,” Kliescow said.
The core business of Allianz, though, is property and casualty insurance, life, protection and health solutions, and asset management.
