Kadayawan ends on high note with Pamulak

DAVAO CITY -- The 34th Kadayawan Festival officially ended on Saturday with the Pamulak sa Kadalanan showcasing the bounty of the city.
Acting Mayor Sebastian Duterte said the Kadayawan would not be complete without the parade of flora and fauna that can be found not just in Davao City but in the entire Davao Region as well.
“The floral float parade is such a nice event that showcases our flora and fauna. We will continue to work on this and improve this for the years to come,” he said.
Sebastian also thanked the people who went outside of their homes to join the celebration.
He also noted that the success of the 34th Kadayawan Festival can be attributed to the men in uniform who worked tirelessly to secure the city.
“I’d also like to thank our security forces. The successful celebration of the 34th Kadayawan festival is because of all of you,” he said.
During the Pamulak event, the Tahawrog Tribe in Marilog District emerged as the grand winner, followed by Ganap Guardians and the Guardians Philippine Anti-crime International, Inc.
In the Small category, Davao Crocodile Park and Zoo won the grand prize, followed by Palawan Pawnshop-Palawan Express Pera Padala and Teleperformance.
In the Big category, International Pharmaceuticals Inc. emerged as the champion followed by Kisan Lu Lands and Development Inc. and CybercityTeleservices and Iqor Company.
