DAVAO CITY -- The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) has announced a P300,000 reward for information against six persons who allegedly raped and killed a four-year-old girl on August 29 in Paquibato District in this city.
DCPO chief Police Colonel Alexander Tagum confirmed to the Mirror that Mayor Sara Duterte will give a P50,000 reward for information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of each of the six men.
“It will be a total of P300,000 for the six suspects,” he said.
The four-year-old victim, a resident of Sitio Mangani, Barangay Tapak, Paquibato District, was found lifeless and naked in a grassy area of the barangay.
Investigation conducted by Paquibato Police Station revealed that based on the autopsy report from Philippine National Police (PNP) Forensic Investigators, the victim was raped before she was killed by the suspects, who are all residents of Barangay Tapak.
Tagum said the suspects were positively identified through the witnesses as Steve Allan, Jerome Bang Gaan, Jorex Manlangan, Mayonado Calibay, Jomar Cariaman, and John Onsilag.
Tagum said the witnesses who testified to the authorities were able to narrate the incident.
The case of rape with homicide was filed at the City Prosecutors Office on September 17 against the suspecs, who all remain at large.
Tagum said he has already directed the Intelligence Group to monitor the presence of the suspects.
“We are presently gathering information on their whereabouts,” he said.
