PALAUIG, ZAMBALES --Police recovered on Friday five packs of "shabu" worth P80 million from an abandoned speedboat here.
Based on the report from Zambales Police Provincial Office headed by Police Colonel Rogelio Ponce Pinones, a call from Eddie Aurelio, barangay chairman of Loc-loc, in Palauig, Zambales, was received on the speedboat that was abandoned along the village's shoreline before noon.
This prompted the local police, along with the Zambales Maritime Unit and the Philippine Coast Guard, to check the area at 11:30 a.m.
Authorities then found the speedboat, which has no markings, and later discovered that two kilograms of shabu in five packs were left on it.
Policemen are still trying to determine the owner of the speedboat and the source of the illegal drug. PNA
