DAVAO CITY -- The Davao Pasalubong Center has provided more opportunities for entrepreneurs as more tourists patronize the various products being sold in the center.
Pasalubong Center unit head Joanne Esperacilla said more tourists are visiting the center and this has resulted in more income for stall owners.
"Even Persons with Disability (PWD) who have opened their store are able to showcase their handmade products and earn more. They are in the accessory section," she said.
There are 11 slots allotted for accessy section and 11 for the food section.
Esperacilla said more local and foreign tourists prefer to buy products at the Pasalubong Center since the prices are much lower compared with malls.
"We have various products here that will showcase Davao City. Aside from Davao products, our sister city, Marikina City, also has a shoe store here. They have brought their shoe products from Marikina," she said.
Esperacilla said for now, all slots are occupied in the center after they have raffled the last remaining three slots on Wednesday morning.
"As soon as the building of the Museo Dabawenyo will finish its construction, a few more slots will be open for our concessionaires," she said.
