The Davao Occidental Tigers have begun a new win streak with their rout of the Bicol Volcanoes at the Angeles University Foundation Arena in Pampanga Tuesday night.
Former professional Mark Yee took charge of the Tigers’ offense as he helped lift his team to the 88-76 victory.
The Tigers improved to a win-loss slate of 12-2 after the win to maintain sole leadership of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League’s (MPBL) Southern Division.
Yee recorded another double-double as he recorded 19 points and 10 rebounds as Cebuano hotshot Emman Calo scored 15 of his own.
Davao Occidental big men Bogs Raymundo and Chester Saldua contributed on offense as well, scoring 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The Tigers started their winning streak by beating beating the General Santos City Warriors 84-75 at the Olivarez Sports Complex in Sucat Parañaque on September 13.
The Tigers aim to extend their winning streak to three when they face the dangerous Basilan Steel on September 21 in Bacolod City.
